Mayor Bloomberg: "We have an enormous amount of capital invested in Obama's success" Yes they do!
Bloomberg rules out 2012 presidential bid
New York City mayor praises Obama: 'His success is the country’s success'
By Tom Curry
December 12, 2010

“This president has to succeed. We all have an enormous amount of capital invested in his success,” the mayor said.

(Translation: Wall Street gave a ton of money to Obama's presidential campaign in 2008 and expect handsome political returns for that investment. BBI)

“His success is the country’s success.”

(Translation: Obama's success is Wall Streets success. BBI)

While endorsing Obama’s tax deal with Republicans, Bloomberg also said that United States will face a point at which sacrifice and budget cutting will be inevitable. “The Chinese are going to stop buying our debt; we’re going to get to the point where business has so little confidence they not willing to expand; there’s a lot of problems facing us down the road: some of these trust funds like Social Security running out of money; Medicaid and Medicare just taking over the whole economy.”

((Translation. You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait till we get the knives out on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. BBI)

3. No, not the Chinese government. With the full force of the U.S. government.

That's the truth.

No need for "yellow peril" scapegoats here.

The Republicans, some Democrats and a whole lot of people afflicted by zenophobia and racism may try to blame this on those evil Chinese but the enemy is right here at home.

Let's not take our eyes off the real culprits in this planned attack on our living standards and programs that benefit working people and the elderly.

I'm just not going to get all caught up in the Chinese baiting propaganda that we should now expect from some segments of Wall Street and corporate America.

2. he's right though
eventually the Chinese are going to stop buying our debt. Thus, it is better to raise taxes on the rich NOW rather than to need much larger tax increases down the road. When it comes to debts with interest, it is better to pay sooner rather than later.
