The "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" is as good as it gets.
Just watched it w/ my son .... now 16 and 6'1" .... as we ate chili and
played w/ the black lab .... the first big snow of the season is falling
outside. Life is very good right now. We tried to remember the lines.

"Little Cindy Lou Hoo, who was no more than two."

".... as if from a dove."

Best wishes to all and thoughts of peace ..... please have another slice of "roast beast."

1. back before VHS, my friends and family would all call me to let me know when the Grinch would be on!
If I missed the Grinch my holiday just wouldn't be complete... :-)
Now I have it on DVD, along with Frosty, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and A Charlie Brown Christmas... Love them all!

In fact - I think I'll go downstairs and watch the Grinch now!

thanks for the thought!
:hugs:

3. For the life of me i never got why they had to do a remake of "the Grinch"
It was already done once and to perfection .... Jim Carrey's version was like
trying to redo a Beatles song in polka.

5. Sorry that you missed the point of the story
Grinch: It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes, or bags!

Ted Geisel wrote a very anti commercial Christmas story.

I always cry at that point. That look is the look of someone who, for the first time in his life, is happy.

10. yes, a happy grinch
And what happened then? Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then - the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of *ten* Grinches, plus two!

13. Sometimes all the right people are in the right place
at the right time. The combination of Suess with Chuck Jones and the voice of Boris Karloff was truly inspired. It couldn't be more perfect.

18. At Thanksgiving my older son made us join hands before eating,
and the younger son, seeing the glint in my eye, starting singing in unison with me: "Fa hoo foray, da hoo doray..."

And really, 6'1"? He's been getting too much of that field-dressed moose.

there is an EDV that is not feeling quite right
so I'll have to take her out to a Taco Bell tonight.

and he patted the Bleever on the top of his head
and turned on the philco Hifi to play some grateful dead
and the little Bleever went to sleep w/ visions of dancing bay airs in his head

I'm glad that your 16 y.o. still likes it too. My 21 y.o. and I will be doing the same things on Wednesday - although no snow here in the Bay Area.
