1. If the tax cuts for the rich are for 2 years... how come the unemployment wasn't extended 2 years?
..what's with this 13 months of extension? And.. it doesn't give one dime to cover the 99-ers... who are totally screwed.

I would say this is not a good deal.. Mr. Obama ..you are NOT a horse trader.

10. He was another one I saw dodge questions about opposing cuts to SS during the election.
Used the same lines President Obama did about 'waiting to see the whole package.' Now that the 'whole package' has been seen...crickets.

7. Probably that the unaddressed huge deficits are causing uncertainties in the market
and we need to demonstrate that we have the resolve to put our fiscal house is in order by slashing spending on "discretionary programs".

11. Yes, and by cutting and then privatizing medicare.
Meanwhile States will start selling 75 year leases to manage more of their toll roads/bridges and prisons to private interests while munincipalities sell their water systems to corporations like is going on in South America. It's the direction all of this is heading.

P.S. I almost forgot the across the board cuts in funding for all departments other than the pentagon, resulting in fewer inspectors assigned to regulate food, drugs, water, worker safety, the environment etc. Industry self regulation groups will step forward to help government out instead
