Families turn out for easy divorces in Broward

Patrick and Lana Trombly got a quick and amicable divorce in a Fort Lauderdale courtroom Saturday. No mess, no fuss. It was final in less than five minutes.

"Happy Holidays," the smiling judge, Arthur Birken, told the now ex-couple as they went their separate ways, she home to Coconut Creek, he back to North Carolina.

Yes, that's right, on a Saturday.

Though I suppose a better alternative to drawn-out divorce cases that screw a lot of people over. Still...marriage shouldn't be treated as something so trivial and disposable like this.

Divorce is a fucking horrible experience for kids to go through.

4. As long as they're fairly easy, amiable divorces, that's fine.

If anything's contentious or kids are involved, then the longer process should be used to make sure the kids' needs are taken care of.
