The appropriate response to GOP candidates when they use "Bush-style fear-mongering"

On Memorial Day 2007, it's well-established that George Bush led us into war based on lies. Bush, Cheney and Rove used terrorism and war for political advantage to win elections in 2002 and 2004. Politics was always more important than policy for the Bush team. The current crop of GOP candidates for President are using Bush's political scare tactics -- invoking Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden.

Here’s the way it ought to be: When Rudy Giuliani says that Iran, which had nothing to do with 9/11, is part of a “movement” that “has already displayed more aggressive tendencies by coming here and killing us,” he should be treated as a lunatic.

When Mitt Romney says that a coalition of “Shia and Sunni and Hezbollah and Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda” wants to “bring down the West,” he should be ridiculed for his ignorance.

And when John McCain says that Osama, who isn’t in Iraq, will “follow us home” if we leave, he should be laughed at.

But they aren’t, at least not yet. And until belligerent, uninformed posturing starts being treated with the contempt it deserves, men who know nothing of the cost of war will keep sending other people’s children to graves at Arlington.

2. I make fun of people who say that

I make sure my derision is obvious. "Are you afraid of puppy dogs too, tough guy?"

Krugman is absolutely right. Again. We have to make these ideas socially inappropriate to speak of and you do that by lowering the social status of anyone who says these things.

al-Qaeda think they are tough with their "bombings", imagine what would happen if they had to face pissed off Americans on this homesoil...

4. problem as i see it is...we don't go where these candidates are and we should!

see they are singing to the ignorant choir...and that is where we come in...we need to go to where they are speaking !!

we need to call them out in front of the ignorant ones...

this is where i think dems have always fallen down...we need to have people going to all their campaign stops..and we need to call them the liars they are..and loudly...

the people they are using this fear shit on..want to be afraid..they turn themselves over to fear ..so the candidates can say whatever they want and the ignorant ones sit there and embrace the fear..we need to haunt these candidates..just like the b bots followed kerry with flip flops..we need to do the same..either with peace signs..or v for vendetta masks..we must not allow these candidates to shut us out on their campaigns..like little lord pissy pants did or it will be more of the same old same old,..we need to get enough young people out there..to co-ordinate them with masks..or peace signs..we need to get a little smarter than we have been...enough of these fucking support shitting signings..we need to get in their faces...and stop singing to the choir and stop allowing them to sing to the choir..

another words we need to get off our asses and follow these candidates and haunt them...

aren't we all smart enough to to join teams that do this???????

can't we co-ordinate groups all over the country and start holding these people accountable..

we all know the facts..but how good are the facts when the ignorant ones are allowed to spew the same shit over and over again...their audience has gotten alot smaller..we need to get in their faces...and we need to scream out..no..no more...no more of these lies and bullshit..and no more fear..

i am going to spend alot of my summer going where the repugs are..i am going to yell out..i am going to make a spectacle of myself if i have to..and i am not going to sit back and see this shit continue..and if they have invitation only stuff i will stand outside and i will throw a hissy fit...

it is time that we close up the computer..and do something...we must activate ..and get in their fucking faces!!

i just got a note from a 72 year old woman who sent me an email and thanked me for the information i was posting ..it was heart wrenching,,because she was not literate..honestly it was heart warming as well..people don't just post there... they read ..because they know something is very wrong but they don't get that info from the msm.. ..and she even said..her spelling was bad..but she wanted to know what she could do..

well here is the lady's email..i am removing her name..yes she signed it with her name...you can see that this woman is not literate...but at least she is reaching out and wanting to do something...

we need to reach these people!!
