The new Swarovski aurora borealis beads. They are rainbow rather than blue--I think this is probably a side effect of the camera flash. Hubby sez I should not wear this outside due to the risk of being attacked by crows :)
Finally fixed some more rat damage on a necklace I got from Marketplace of India. I couldn't replace the seed beads (not up on that technique, plus didn't want to separate them from rat droppings), so I used macrame and larger glass beads.
I talked my husband into letting me have his fused glass window ornament for jewelry. Added topaz Swarovski crystals, black glass tubes, and goldplated spacer beads. I wish I could photograph glass better.
Experiment with braided horsehair. The tassel is a backgound to what the eBay seller assured me was a genuine wolf claw from Nunavut. Of course with those Internets tubes nobody knows you're a dog, so it may well be that some Toronto desk jockey decided to make a few extra bucks from the untimely death of his German Shepherd. Still trying to figure out how to do it smoothly--this one is for turtlenecks only.
More fun with the wooden stuff I got from Fire Mountain. Macrame and guinea fowl feathers also used.
