I paint and draw. I have gone to the art group but, looks like no one ever goes there.
I do cross stitch but, my first love is painting.
Do I belong here??

2. Why not?
It's hard to draw the line between art and craft anymore anyway. Some painted "high art" seems more craft than art, and some "high craft" should be framed and hung on a museum wall. It's all good. :)

3. I just started painting again
after many years. The kids got me an easel for Mother's Day, I'm ready to go as soon as the ac gets fixed, it's too hot upstairs right in the room I'm using as a studio. Love to see some of your work.
I knit and make jewelry too.

4. i have Aspergers and am clairvoyant and just "Saw" you painting portraits on different shaped river
rock.. ..it was enjoyable, thanks.. some were charactures and some were very good portraits..

i liked the one that was oval, long and thin.. nose was on the edge and eye on each side, it was for a couple, her face on one side and his on the other, maybe mother and son, lady and cat or dog

5. My cousin used to paint on rocks
They were primitive sort of paintings like ladybugs, florals and miniature grassy scenes. The texture of the rock always makes them so inviting to me. I haven't thought about that in years. Thanks for bringing it up.

6. Have you seen the magazine CRAFT?
It's put out by the publishers of MAKE. Both have a lot of really off-beat suggestions for crafters, elecronics geeks, wood and metal bashers, etc. The most recent issue of CRAFT has a short article on a crafter who paints rocks--not in the online selections, unfortunately. I swear she had a set of rocks painted to look exactly like dinner rolls!

7. I almost subscribed to it recently
But I wanted to go over to Barnes and Noble to check it out first. I'll look at it this week since I'll be at that mall this week. Thanks!
