Meet Kukla
Do you remember Kukla, Fran & Ollie? I used to watch them on tv back in the 50s when I was little. So I thought I'd needlefelt a Kukla puppet.

I still have to give him is rosy cheeks and sew his hand puppet body with the striped collar. But here he is so far. Kukla's head.

Their "Unofficial" website with lots of photos, videos and stuff ---> http://kukla.tv/index.html

2. If I thought could do it, I would
I was looking at him this morning and my palms began to sweat. We'll see. :D

But i would like to make a Cecil Bill. You know, the character who speaks in a special language, "Tooie Talk", that only Kukla understood. He looks simple enough for my felting level!

He likes just like the Kukla. Be sure to post more pics when you're finished or at the different stages.

4. Thanks, MM!
I had to redo his facial features several times. Felting is neat in that I could remove his eyebrows and he never complained. Probably because I took his mouth off first!

Hmmm.... He's sitting here on the printer and giving me the most intense stare. I better give him a body pretty soon.

Just kidding!

6. Isn't that the truth!
We didn't have a color tv for many, many years. But the old b&w Dumont was magnificent with it's mahogany cabinet and big doors that had handles like door knockers. I'm sure dating myself. :D

Thanks!
