If you did develop one, how did you get rid of it? Of course, not riding is not an option.

Thanks.

1. No, but everyone's grip is different. Are you wearing gloves? nm

2. I was wearing light weight gloves (mesh)
Should start wearing thicker, all leather, like I was told to.

3. There are worse places for callouses ...

(kidding, sort of)

Is your callous just from working the throttle? You can get the same callouses from baseball, tennis, mowing the lawn. If it's from the throttle, you could try a device to help with leverage:

4. It's all the city riding, unfortuntely...
from the clutch lever, I think. I'm probably shifting wrong since I use that part of my finger so much!

6. hmm...
I might only be using 2 or 3. I'll have to pay more attention to that. My fingers/hands probably aren't as strong as I think they are. But I never have to ask hubby to open jars anymore! lol

7. Your gloves are too loose.
The glove is rubbing your skin when you pull and causing the callous.

A properly fitted glove will hold to your skin like paint. And a loose fitting glove will not protect you properly. Snug up and the callous will go away.

8. Thank you
I had no idea the fit of the glove could make that much difference. I tend to be almost claustrophobic about tight fitting gloves, for some reason. I'll try to wear them again. :hi:
