My limited experience with any sort of shifting is on a Honda Rebel (in the MSF class).

1. It's just a longer shift lever |
|
that extends back further than the shaft. So you can upshift by pushing down with your heel OR lifting up with your toe.

6. Okaaay... you're going to have to fill me in. What's 'the Motor Company'? |
|
And why bless them?
My guess: 1) Harley Davidson 2) Harley invented the Heel Shift 3) The Heel Shift is a really good thing
Alternately: 1) Harley Davidson 2) Harley neither invented nor offers a Heel Shift 3) The Heel Shift sucks

1. The Motor Company, like hope, springs eternal in the mind of man. 2. Don't know who invented the Heel Shift but it probably wasn't Harley Davidson. 3. Heel shifters are really good things if you have floor boards and they suck if you don't.
