"CHEYENNE -- The Wyoming House labor committee voted against a bill Friday that would have changed abortion reporting requirements in the state.
The committee voted 6-2 against House Bill 154, which would have required doctors who perform abortions to submit more detailed information to government health officials.

The bill would have required doctors to provide information about patients' age and county of residence. Opponents argued the requirements would erode patients' privacy, particularly in small towns.
"People would be very identifiable," said Rep. Jack Landon, R-Sheridan, committee chairman.
Sharon Breitweiser, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Wyoming, said existing reporting requirements made the legislation unnecessary
