Huckabee Would Criminalize Abortion Providers
Edited on Mon Dec-31-07 01:42 PM by ismnotwasm
"Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, locked in a tight GOP race in Iowa, said Sunday he would seek to punish doctors who took money to provide abortions to women if he succeeded in outlawing the procedure, as he has long advocated.

"I think if a doctor knowingly took the life of an unborn child for money, and that's why he was doing it, yeah, I think you would, you would find some way to sanction that doctor," Huckabee said during an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press. "I don't know that you'd put him in prison, but there's something to me untoward about a person who has committed himself to healing people and to making people alive who would take money to take an innocent life and to make that life dead."

Fucking moran.

Next paragraph;
"The former governor said he would not support penalizing women who sought abortions even if they were outlawed. "I think you don't punish the woman, first of all, because it's not about ... I consider her a victim, not a criminal."

In other words, since the fairer sex, those delicate flowers, the little women of the world obviously cannot make reasoned medical decisions for herself, we'll do it for her. Let's go back to the days where educating women was considered detrimental to their health while we're at it.

Did I say fucking moran already? Oh yeah, I did. Must be taxing my brain too hard. Probably get the vapors any minute now with all this thinkin' and making decisions stuff. Why and here's Mr. Huckabee stepping right in offering to do it for me. Thanks asshole.

1. That man scares me
I've heard people express doubts that anyone that freaky could get the Republican nomination, let alone get elected, but frankly I heard the same things about Bush 8 years ago.

3. Same here...
...we apparently underestimated the fringe contingent--the group that wants a republican in office, no matter what kind of filth he spews.

2. I do declare!
We're supposed to abstain unless we want kids but if we don't we're victims? I thought we were baby killing whores? That must only be confusing because I'm a woman. I'll get the help to fan me to calm me down. :eyes:

And as we all know, if no doctors perform abortions then they won't happen. It's not like there's a history of women dying from douching with household cleaning products or using coat hangers.

4. I hope the rest of the country votes more or less like the
caucus, where huckabee got fewer votes than any of the Democrats. I want him to be so marginal that he has no power to push his views upon anyone.

6. I'm pretty sure that after this election a whole lot of people will
agree with you.

I don't think he can stand up to real scrutiny.
