Anti-choicer's warped view on ectopic pregnancy
From the so-called "Pro-Life" blog

http://www.prolifeblogs.com/articles/archives/2006/02/ectopic_pregnan.php

:puke:

In fairness, "peter" (a man, natch) corrects some misinformation in the update, but his main article still reflects a very twisted mindset. I find his attitude truly chilling. I've read that in South Dakota a woman can't have her ectopic pregnancy aborted until she is literally at death's door, but I'm not sure if that's true. I do fear we are heading that way as a country, given the ideology of many legislators and judges

1. He's crazy
NO other explanation. If I defined life the way this guy does, I'd wonder about the rate of miscarriages and what I could do about it. He probably already does--He can borrow a page from the "uterus forensics" used in South American countries to accuse and prosecute women who have had abortions.

I'm curious about those South Dakota laws as well. Even if it's not common, I'll bet you a dollar it's happened more than once.

2. Yeah, I bet it has too. Laws like that have a way of being interpreted to mean different things.
And when the laws states that the "life of the mother must be in danger" you can believe some are going to take that to the utmost literal extreme.

...but clicking into the "about" area of the site, and reading something about their purpose and "the sanctity of human life" made me laugh my ass off.
