The Rock Art of Arizona: Art for Life’s Sake
Got this e-mail today:

... I am happy to let you know that The Rock Art of Arizona: Art for Life’s Sake is finally available. The book is a “visual feast” designed to instill awe and respect for the magnificent legacy of Arizona’s open-air paleoart. In format and size (10x10"), the book was modeled on my award-winning Stone Chisel and Yucca Brush, but to make it more affordable to a broader audience the publisher decided to forgo a hardcover edition and produce it in softcover (with flaps). Priced at $35.00, it should be the “steal of the year,” considering that on 200 pages the book offers 384 color photos, over 135 black-and-white drawings, and numerous charts and maps.

1. Wow, nice photos!
I haven't seen much rock art in person myself - just a few petroglyphs in Michigan and Kentucky.

I'm headed out this January to Albequerque for the Society for Historical Archaeology Conference, and hope to get away for a day and see some rock art and ruins.
