A belligerent BART passenger led to riders playing "musical trains" this morning at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station.
About 7:58 a.m. this morning, BART police asked to have the Daly City-bound train emptied passenger allegedly refused to comply with BART's no-bike policy, said Linton Johnson, a BART spokesman.
A man with a bicycle slipped by a the station agent after being told he couldn't bring the bike on the train. The man slipped by and got on the crowded train, bike in tow.
"He thought he was going to get away with it," Johnson said.
A BART police officer tried to get the man off the train, but he was being belligerent, Linton said. Fellow passengers, angry the man was holding up the train, were also yelling at him to leave, Johnson said.
To not delay the other passengers further, they were transferred to a standby train on the other side of the platform. .....(more)
