Washington Metrorail.....Good luck getting a seat these days.....
Metrorail records third highest weekday ridership day

829,998 riders used Metrorail on Friday, June 20

Hundreds of thousands of people helped Metro set the transit agency’s third highest ridership day in the history of the 32-year-old rail system on Friday, June 20. Riders took 829,998 trips, which were 24,845 more trips than the same comparable day last year. The Washington Nationals and Washington Mystics games contributed to Friday’s high numbers.

Since April of this year, Metrorail weekday ridership has cracked the top 12 highest ridership days in Metrorail history on nine separate occasions. Combined with Metrobus ridership, Metro provides more than 1.2 million trips on an average weekday.

1. Heaven help them if the Nats ever field a competitive team
as it is, attendance at the new park is averaging only about 29,000 a game, among the worst in the majors.

The park can seat nearly 42,000. Do the math. :scared:
