Photos from our visit to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum (dial-up warning: pics)
The visit actually took place in July, but I had lost the USB lead for my digital camera, and so couldn't upload the photos. I've now found it again, so here they are.

A Streetcar named Desire. This is me standing by one of the old New Orleans city streetcars that served the Desire Street route that gave its name to the Tennessee Williams play.

Our wonderful trolley driver.

Inside one of the interurban trolleys that once served Philadelphia's Red Arrow routes.

We took more photos, but they were either not as good quality or were variations on the ones above.

2. The green Perley Thomas streetcars are still in service on St. Charles Avenue uptown
Desire is on the other side of town (now served by a bus route).

The St. Charles cars are the 900-series, rather than 800. They have also been pressed into service on Canal Street since the Federal Flood (because the uptown car barn didn't flood, but the Mid-City one did), though I hear the red cars built for the Canal line are being tested before being put back in service.
