Government subsidies cut = bus and light rail service cuts |
|
There is a direct link between bus service and / or light rail service and government subsidies. Bus/light rail would die without billions in subsidies each year.
Why do we put up with these leeches, draining our tax payer dollars and delivering the poorest level of service ever.
Urgent: contact your city council members and state legislators to demand an end to subsidies for a never-profitable transportation system.

1. Review the other OPs in this forum. A direct relation between gov't subsidies and service cuts |

You can see for yourself that Bus and light rail live (or die) on subsidies from the government. Imagine a transit system that does not soak up government subsidies like a vampire (which dies without a victim to bleed).
This transit system exists and it's called PRT --Personal Rapid Transit.
PRT provides better service --you ride directly to your destination, never stop for other vehicles or other passengers (unless you have specifically requested to).
PRT gets you there faster and far more conveniently. PRT uses less energy. PRT is 100% electric. Try that with most buses...
And the best part: PRT costs less than half of what the failing bus and light rail service costs, in construction and operation.
Bus/light rail = failed PRT = this is the future
