Any booksellers here?
I need a guesstimate of value on the first Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," first American edition, 5th printing. Decent condition with a dust jacket. Inscription in the front. Thanks! (Tag sale season has started - yippee!!)

1. There are several book search engines you can look at -
www.vialibri,com , www.addall.com , www.bookfinder.com , www.marelibri. com for comparison and range.

3. abebooks.com
That's the one that book buyers use at Powell's in Portland, the world's largest used bookstore. ABE is a consortium of used booksellers, so you can see what all those dealers are asking for any particular book.

5. ABE Books is the best.
FWIW, I doubt a 5th edition will be too valuable-but you said "with inscription"-is it signed by the author?
