I have 3 "designer" dresses I would like to sell along with 3 fur coats.

Where do I even start?? The one dress is an original. all are size 2. I also have a beautiful "Gone With The Wind" prom dress (yes, it requires large hoops), it is white with multiple layers of white ruffles and red "roses" on the back. I have NO CLUE how to sell these and would appreciate any help. Am I in the right forum?

2. Yes, they were custom made for me.

Alas, I too am not a size 2 anymore! I used to be thin and I thought I had an endless supply of money. Then life and menapause slapped me up the side of the head and said the free ride was over. Now I`m fat and poor. That`s why I`m trying to sell these things. The dresses are really beautiful, The fur coats consist of mink, racoon, and white fox. I loved my coats until I moved to the country upon becoming poor. I started feeding the various animals around my home and quickly lost all interest in fur coats.

3. I did well selling a Dior mink on ebay. It was quite small and sold

to someone in Japan. I guess it depends on what you think a fair price is for your items. Where I live, fur is a no-no, so I was happy to get $650 for the one I sold on ebay. Maybe a consignment shop in a large city would bring more. Who are the designer clothes by?

I got out the phone book and think I`ll take these things out to a couple of shops out where the pretty people live.

5. The consignment stores in my area take 50%

I was thinking about consignment myself, but when I saw that they take half, I wasn't too happy with the idea. Of course, I don't know if all consignment shops do that.
