In a charity used furniture store that gets containers of stuff from overseas as well as donations from locals, I spied a shelf of copper boxes. They are about ten inches by four inches by four inches tall, with hinged lids. There are about fifty of them. They are fifty cents each. Aside from the metal value (which is reason enough to buy them I guess) I'm wondering what I could do with them for resale.
Would you grab them?

but I like oddities. The metal value alone is worth it and I can think of lots of uses for them even if you do not get rid of them.

2. If they are solid copper, sure, wouldn't even hesitate |
|
but you know, coming from me, that means absolutely nothing, lol.
But I know exactly what I'd do with them too - use them to store my spices in (the kind still in packets)

4. Check the daily price of copper in the paper, estimate the weight |
|
of the boxes. Might be able to sell the lot to a non-ferrous metals buyer. I know copper is $$$ per pound. Check the yellow pages for the buyers and give them a call. Ask if they buy by the pound and what are they paying? If the boxes are heavy, you might make some good $$$.
