pixieware -- who knew?
Today I picked up Mary Englebreit's magazine and learned about Holt Howard Pixieware. Tonight I'm browsing eBay and the winning buy-it-now bids are really hot. Wow. Wow!

$170.02

$105

$250

Another thing to look for! Have you ever seen one?

1. I have my grandmas "sugar" pixie ware .Which are fairly common,
if you have the rarer condiments, like "olives" or "instant coffee" the prices are sky high, which is understandable. I love it,I think it's adorable,me and a million other people unfortunately.

2. On rare occasion I see a piece...
usually if it is in a reasonable price range it is chipped or missing the lid, etc. Cool kitsch.

3. First time I've ever seen this
It looks like there are lots of parts that could get chipped off or lost. Those cute little ears appear vulnerable.

Thanks for the heads up! This one is brand new to me.

4. The lids also have a spoon attached to them
on the inside, very easy to break (unfortunately,I speak from experience).

5. I've found a few pieces of this here and there.
A couple of years ago I went to a church sale on the second day and spotted 3 Pixieware cruets for $15.00. They went really well on ebay. I'm always on the lookout for the Pixie ice cream dish that says "Goo" on it. It's the rarest of the rare and sells for about $1,000. By the way, I've got the cocktail olive bottom if anyone finds the top.
