For some reason, I have a compulsion to buy antique Masonic stuff when I come across it at estate sales and I'm wondering if I'm alone in that compulsion.

1. I buy it when I see it, but only for resale. It doesn't interest me much at all. |

(I'm a whole lot more interested in a piece of pottery I spotted at a Masonic Temple sale one time. The place was filled with antiques - sadly, not for sale - and the pottery looked like a Grueby or maybe Hampshire umbrella stand that had been filled with sand and converted to an ashtray. Maybe someday they'll all give up smoking and put it in the sale.)

he is/was a Mason for umpteen years, actually a past Grand Master. Some of it brings good money for resale. Some of the pieces I have sold over the years he has been really helpful in IDing the purpose/meaning of for me.
