Do any of you have an ebay store?
I've only done auctions, but I was thinking about opening a store to put artwork up for sale. It's only $15.95 a month and the other fees seem reasonable. If you've done it, how has it worked out for you?

1. I do. It's nice to have if you have a lot of things
that you want to sell at a set price. Mine does a lot better when I have auctions up as it drives people to your store.I haven't done an auction in a couple of months now and still get a sale here or there. I am thinking of putting some of my stuff on Etsy now.

3. What is Etsy?
Just wondering. Is this a new place to shop?

5. Here it is:
http://www.etsy.com/

It started out mainly as a place to sell crafts and art,but is slowly starting to attract "vintage" sellers and buyers.

2. Big fan of eBay stores here
...i have had one for a few years and it makes life much easier. Figure out your price, put in the store and wait. Works really well for items where the price is reasonably easy to estimate; then I use auctions for more valuable/scarce items where the price can be bid up.

Highly recommended with the caveat that it's hard to recommend eBay in general at this writing.

4. Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm going to do it, primarily for art
and prints. It's so difficult to sell some of this stuff in the auction format. Maybe if someone is looking for a specific item or artist I'll be able to make a sale that way.

6. I had one for a couple of years
I put things in it that had some value but weren't in particular demand so wouldn't have brought their worth at auction, and it worked well. I also sold some of my stained glass art in the store.

However ebay kept raising prices and mucking around with the format so I'm on hiatus and in no hurry to get back at it.

7. That was my plan - put on the pricier items. I figured my only other
option on some things I've found is to take them to a regular auction so I'd have to pay a large fee anyway.
