you would have to bring a van load of stuff bach to this neck of the woods to sell it in the spring and summer. Prices are lower well below the Mason-Dixon line but your profit would be here in in this area. The immediate world thinks that the best Antiquing is in New England.
Many years ago, we drove to Florida in early March, stopped at every shop along the way. Ended up in Naples with a full van(we had a big Chevy Beauville, seats removed). Decided that if we found any more goodies we'd rent a trailer to lug the stuff home. We still bought "smalls" but no more furniture.
Lots of goodies to be found then, not sure of the situation now but countless New Englanders go south to retire. When it's time to go meet their maker, the stuff is sold or auctioned. A NE dealer could take it home and start the route all over again.
New thrift in our area. Not a conventional one but a large one run by a big charity, Big Brothers-Big Sisters. It is called Savers.
I have found a few goodies so far but it is really mostly clothing. Good prices, clean and neat.
Goodwill and Salvation Army now have a staff to go over everything so there seems to be very little opportunity to find anything for resale. I can't say I blame them but it takes the fun and challenge out of a visit to those stores.
