If you use Auctiva, you may already know that they just announced a plan to charge for its previously-free listing service.
For me, it would cost at least $20 extra per month to use Auctiva. I'm actively looking for alternatives. Vendio and InkFrog are two that are often mentioned. Here's a link to a blog that provides a good and simple comparison:
http://200westmain.com/redinkdiary/?p=1958Worst thing is that if--like me--you have a bunch of store listings on eBay that you created using Auctiva, you have to move them off of Auctiva by July 1 (!!!) or risk having either the images or the whole listing deleted.
This is a real shame. I liked Auctiva and while I understand that they need to shore up revenue (they blame the problem on eBay, actually), they have totally screwed this up. Instead of just charging a flat fee or something simple, they've created a complicated fee structure rivaling eBay's for its byzantine nature.
Then to give sellers less than a month to make the transition, well, they just screwed the pooch. There are a lot of folks who are predicting Auctiva's imminent demise.
