Help - anyone around? I need advice.
I have been selling these really cute sundresses on ebay, and have been doing great on these particular dresses.

This one girl, woman - whatever - bought 2 a couple of weeks ago - one long dress, one short.

Today I get a message from her saying that the strap broke on one and that the other fell apart!

My first inclination was to give her a refund, then I stopped myself because I have the same exact dresses that she bought and I've had NO problems with them. Wear and wash them alot. They are still in one piece, no fading, fraying or anything.

My listings state no refunds.

But at the same time, if it's true - I feel bad. I just don't know if she is trying to scam me. Maybe they didn't fit right or something and she's mad she bought them.

What would you do?

1. Tell her you've never had a problem before and ask her to return them
so you can examine them. If she won't send them back, she's probably scamming you. If she does send them back you should be able to tell if seams/straps have been cut. In either case, I'd probably give her a refund so she'll go away and block her from bidding on anything of mine in the future. If the dresses appear to have been cut, I'd make a complaint to ebay.

2. Thanks Vinca!
I took your advice and told her to send it back to me and then I would try to replace it with something similar.
She emailed me back saying she was surprised to hear back from me, and that she would try to fix the dresses.
Awesome idea - thank you thank you.

I contacted another buyer of the same dress and she told me she has washed it 4 times with no probs. There you go!

3. I'm glad it worked out.
Apparently some people think you'll just send them a refund, no questions asked and keep the goods.
