Did I pay too much at auction?
What's this worth, do ya think? I won the bid and got it for my sis to add to her set of folding chairs that match. (No fair looking what it went for :-)

1. Do you have an idea of how old it is?
My grandfather had a bunch of these that my mom kept. He used them in his tavern back in the late 1920s early 1930s. From memory, this one looks very similar. Unfortunately, we don't have them anymore. But I'm sure they looked the same.

2. I'm thinking along the 20's or 30's also.
But I don't know. The only description said folding wood chair 33" good condition, that and the pic is all I know. It looks to me the exact same as what she has.

I asked her what should pay for one at a garage sale and she said $20. Well, my winning bid was $12.50, plus fee and tax it came to $14.70. :-)

By the time I pay for gas to get there and lunch out with a friend, who knows the real cost, lol. :hi:

3. LOL - I read your post yesterday and was going to say
"no more than 20 bucks," but I was afraid you paid more and would feel bad. Good buy!

Ha! I spent way more at lunch with the gal friend who took me than the chair cost, lol, but we have bloody mary's that add up.
