I have a whatsit
and was wondering if any of you had seen one of these in your explorations.

The tag on the top is partially obliterated but I can make out:
Republo
Enduro
Stainless

It appears to be some sort of cooker, the lid comes off, and I have spent hours in Google Images but cannot find anything like it. So I, of course, am turning to the good folks here for any answers or suggestions.

Thanky

2. That's exactly what it is!
Thank you. I never heard of such a thing, but then I haven't spent much time around dairy cows either. Really interesting history though: http://surgemilker.com/index.html

7. From a friend
who had an elderly relative pass away. There was the usual: family members come over to clean out the belongings, and this was one of them. It was offered to me as I have a wood stove and it looked to be some sort of humidifier with all those spouts.

I, too, had Googled those words but evidently not in the same configuration as you. I learned a lot about Republic Steel and what an enduro is/was but never quite got to the Surge milker. Even though I now know there were thousands of them made and all the way up to 1999 it's still quite the conversation piece what with its connections to Walt Disney, the Pittsburgh Steelers, etc. Plus a reminder of a time when American used to make high-quality goods.

9. It really does look like a humidifer. That's what I'd use it for
on the wood stove.

5. I searched using combinations of the words in the OP
Republo Enduro
Enduro Stainless
Republo Stainless

Stuff started showing up like Republic Stainless. So then I searched for Images and followed a photo back to the web site.
