Any coin experts (or semi-experts) here?
Found this coin among some other miscellaneous stuff. Never seen anything like it before, and can't seem to find any evidence of its existence online. Didn't know if it actually had any valuable metals in it. Thoughts?

2. Medallion! That's the world I didn't have.
I kept thinking "coin", and somebody in the Lounge said "medal". Thanks!

3. Among numismatists, the terminology is as follows:
Coins: Metal disks issued by official or provisional governments to serve as money.
Tokens: Metal disks issued by non-government individuals or organizations to serve as a replacement or supplement for government-issued coins.
Medals: Metal disks generally honoring a person or event issued by government or private minters which are not intended to be used as money.
Medallions: Large medals, generally at least 3 3/16 inches in diameter.
Rounds: Disks of (usually) silver issued by private minters and generally sold as a bullion investment.
