Do you ever tell people they're nuts?
There were just a couple of yard sales over the weekend, but the one with the best stuff had the most idiotic prices. Would you pay $5 for a used salad spinner? They had run-of-the-mill cup and saucer sets for $20 (I sell them retail for $9)and really cheesy prints in really cheesy frames for $10. I bought a couple of old, signed etchings for $5.00 which pretty much proved they were clueless. I was really tempted to ask them how much they thought they were going to sell since 99.9% of the things were way overpriced.

1. Yes, it drives me nuts
It probably is related to how people come up with the selling prices of their homes. They say, well, this is how much I need to pay some bills, and to be able to buy the house I want. :banghead:
One time I even asked, "Are you sure that's enough?" I didn't want the damn listing anyway....

So, your yardbirds probably decided that the inflated prices would get them a flat screen, or trip to Disney World, or whatever. It has nothing at ALL to do with what a willing and able buyer is willing to PAY for the items.

I usually keep my mouth shut these days and go to the next one.

2. What I found especially amusing is the items from the sale that got my goat
turned up at the charity thrift shop the following week priced reasonably.
