Just sayin....
Maybe the reason Joe hasn't been asked to provide all the VP-vetting info is because he's essentially already vetted after having run for Prez.

Not too much to dig through.

I find myself only wanting Joe to be VP because of the honor it would bring him. To be asked, to be told HE could make a difference in our winning the election. And I'm willing to let him be VP if it is believed he'll be the magic component to take Obama into the WH.

Other than that, I still want him as SOS.

He SO should be on top of the ticket. As somebody commented on the HuffPo comments, if it was Joe as the nom, he'd be leading McCain by 245 points.

1. agree with all that
I want whatever Joe wants to do - SFRC with more dems, Sec of State, or VP. 2nd prize would give him some recognition I guess - I love the Senate but most people ignore it. And Gore and Cheney were certainly more than just sitting around waiting. (I don't think Cheney ever shows his face in the senate though - could we impeach him for failure to do that Job?!)

Still like Schweitzer for VP (paid him more attention when you talked about him)

Joe doesn't have much to vet - public record, public family, no business/investment junk.

3. Remember when LBJ used to blast into the Senate/House and
give them all hell?

I could see Joe doing that as VP! I think he'd enjoy that, and I believe it would help the Dems tremendously.

Sens on both sides of the aisle love him. I've seen him dis Lindsay's policies to his face, and Lindsay was STILL eating out of Joe's hand.

He's got a talent to do that, disagree with your policies, tell you they're stupid as hell, but still not make it PERSONAL. Can't think of anyone else who is so smooooooth.

2. Agreed! The only reason I want Biden for veep is that I think he can help Obama win---
and for selfish reasons. I LOVE the excitement and seeing his name all over the place again.

But he is way too talented to play second fiddle to Obama.
