1. WONDERFUL rendition of this beautiful, beloved song.

Heard of this song first from DU member rabs who mentioned it around a conversation concerning Mercedes Sosa.

Just looked it up, saw that Victor Jara also did a famous version of the song.

Had to find out who Atahualpa Yupanqui is, in complete amazement by his name! It's a tribute to these two famous Incan leaders. The singer " is considered the most important Argentine folk musician of the 20th century."

It was good to see his entire presentation of the song. So glad to have seen it. Thank you.

to the "Morenos" (black people) of the Caribe region between Colombia and Venezuela.

He says, "It would have been an honor for me to have composed this song, but it is not mine"
