"Atrás" which means behind, going back. Is used to refer to the past or moving in the direction of the past.

They're behind (figuratively "they're backwards" or "regressive")
They're going back or backwards
They think backwards
They are "the backwardness" (I know it's not a word - el atras is hard to explain in English)
They're behind their military armor (implying hading behind)

They watch us laugh
They watch us fight
They watch us love
They watch us play
From behind their military armor

They're afraid of us because we're not afraid. (repeated a few times)
