About 300 mayors of villages, towns and outlying areas are said to have responded, of the 1,103 municipalities that were asked by the government. The number from those 300 mayors is said to be nearing 10,000 cases.
Paz y Justica has recorded 32,348 cases of forced disappearances. (Repeat, 32,348, and last week Paz y Justicia said the actual number might surpass 40,000.
