Venezuela's rife crime political peril for Chavez

Two years ago, the opposition won an election for mayor over Chavez's candidate in Petare, another slum neighborhood traditionally loyal to the president, in which rampant crime played a role. The opposition hopes to repeat that success.

Before they discuss the facts. What we see is the apologia of reigme supporters whose dogma is threatened by the truth. They can't discuss what is evident to everybody, that this regime Chavez created is an abomination, and it is giving socialism a terrible reputation. This is why socialists of the world should unite to call him what he is: a neo-fascist more interested in the cult of his personality, and his own empowerment and enrichment, surrounded by courtiers and empty headed buffoons who are unable to govern properly. These people are not socialists at all, they are fascist gangsters.
