Venezuela castrated with no promising young people to build its future

The first big brain-drain wave occurred in 2003, when the majority of the 20,000 professionals and technicians fired from PDVSA by President Chavez himself and for political reasons left the country. This loss of talent, know-how, and experience is something that will take years to recover. Today, these professionals are contributing to the development of the oil and petrochemical industries in Colombia, Canada, the Middle East, and the United States, to name but a few of the countries that have received them.

The second brain-drain wave was triggered when the regime started to apply the Tascon-Chavez list ... a kind of political apartheid practiced against Venezuelans who signed a petition for a referendum to revoke Hugo Chavez's mandate.
