What can one say to the twisted, Rumsfeldian, "Alice in Wonderland" illogic of the fascists in Colombia--so like the fascists in Venezuela, and elsewhere in Latin America, and here?

Well, the Jesuits are fabled for their abilities at logic--and, indeed, bear some responsibility for the "Jesuitical" logic of people like Rumsfeld and this guy--so maybe they can disentangle it, in one fell swoop, by FIRING Uribe, as they should.
Meanwhile, there needs to be an investigation at Georgetown, as to ties between the administrators or academics who hired this rat bastard Uribe, and the CIA, and a general investigation of the cleansing of the Bush Junta's bloody trail in Colombia, of which this "rehab" of Uribe is only one part. The other parts are items like the "extradition" of death squad case witnesses to the U.S.--in secret, in the dead of night, last year--charging them with mere drug trafficking and then the U.S. court in DC completely sealing their cases, putting them out of the reach of furious Colombian prosecutors, who were promised access to them and were counting on their testimony. Another part is the secretly negotiated U.S./Colombia military agreement which gave total diplomatic immunity to all U.S. soldiers and U.S. military 'contractors' in Colombia, signed last year by Uribe. And yet another part is the recent State Department "fine" of Blackwater for "unauthorized" "trainings" of Colombians or others for use in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We are seeing A PLAN. I'm pretty sure it's CIA-generated. (Leon Panetta, a member of Daddy Bush's inner circle, now CIA Director appointed...ahem...by Obama, in my opinion is tasked with mopping up after Junior, wherever he can.) Item no. 1 in this plan, in Latin America, is to erase the evidence of Bush authorization and Uribe implementation of widespread death squad murders by the Colombian military and its closely tied paramilitaries. This probably also includes erasing the evidence of direct U.S. military or U.S. military 'contractor' participation in killing masses of non-violent Colombian citizens who oppose the narco-thug government, as well as armed leftist guerrillas, also Colombian citizens, and including murder and terror practiced even on citizens who were doing nothing at all--were not trade unionists or human rights workers--mere youths, recruited for jobs, then murdered and their bodies dressed up like FARC guerrillas, for Colombian military commanders to up their "body count" (and receive rewards for it).
The USAID and the Pentagon designed this "pacification" program for Colombia's rural areas--so like the one in Afghanistan--provided technical assistance and $7 BILLION in military aid, and WHAT ELSE DID THEY DO? Use Colombian peasants for "turkey shoot" practice--to train their assassins for Iraq and Afghanistan? That is what I suspect is being covered up.
The Jesuits who run Georgetown U. have put themselves into this coverup plan, by honoring Uribe with an academic sinecure. The Obama administration furthermore honored Uribe with a prestigious legal appointment (to an international commission investigating Israel's firing on aid boats). These are otherwise INCOMPREHENSIBLE actions--considering Uribe's close ties to the death squads, his public statement that everyone who opposes him is a "terrorist," his pervasive spying and drawing up of "lists" of trade unionists and others, likely for death squad targeting, and his close ties to some 70 politicians who are under investigation or already in jail for
their ties to the death squads, drug trafficking, bribery and other crimes. He has also overseen the displacement of five MILLION peasant farmers, by state terror--the second worst human displacement crisis in the world. He is filthy dirty. And both the Obama administration and the Jesuits are risking being associated with this fascist monster's crimes by HONORING him. WHY are they doing it? That is the question.
It is not ignorance, believe me--although, in both cases, Georgetown and the Clinton State Department, there may be a set-up of deniability. In the case of the State Department, they left Bushwhack ambassador William Brownfield in place in Colombia until about a month ago. HE is the one who colluded with Uribe to extradite death squad witnesses and bury them in the U.S. prison system (if that's where they are), and the one who secretly negotiated SIGNED total diplomatic immunity for U.S. soldiers and military 'contractors' last year. That agreement was just declared unconstitutional by the Colombia Supreme Court because it was never submitted to the legislature. The fascists still control the legislature, so it will likely be eventually approved, but even if it isn't, it remains a SIGNED grant of total diplomatic immunity by the highest official in the country, and can arguably be used in a legal defense of any U.S. soldier, any U.S. 'contractor,' and their commanders and bosses, all the way up to the White House and all the way over to Dubai, should such persons be charged with war crimes committed in Colombia.
I don't know what the layers of deniability are at Georgetown--maybe somebody "in the know" (CIA agent/contact?) pulled a fast one on everybody else, on those who were not well-informed about Colombia. Well, now they know, so what are they going to do? They are a Catholic university whose prestige as an institution is on the line. They have been informed by the Jesuits in Colombia, who certainly know what's what in that country. They have been informed by a Jesuit who himself is the target of public death threats! He is himself one of the people whom Uribe called "terrorists" because he is opposed to the theft of peasant lands by palm oil corporations and is an advocate of peace in Colombia's 70 year civil war. They may have corporate contributions that are influencing this situation, that they need to look into. But, as far as I know, the Jesuit order still has some loyalty to
ethics--or is it just pretension to ethics?
