70% of Venezuelans Exercise Voting Right
Reported: 03:45 AM - Sep/27/10

Long lineups were recorded Sunday at voting polls in Venezuela, where parliamentary elections are being held, causing the closing time to be postponed in order to accommodate all voters. President Hugo Chavez estimated that approximately 70 per cent of eligible voters exercised their right to vote in the elections.

It is possible that the opposition will win several seats in parliament and thus will be able to limit some actions taken by Chavez.
