FE: Political polarization has sparked a green movement in Venezuela, a country that needs new alternatives and choices in government, Venezuelan attorney and environmentalist Yael Marciano said.
The Venezuelan Environmental Movement, or Movev, has managed to unite "people of judgment who have taken the decision to vote for a new alternative" against the ruling party of President Hugo Chavez, Marciano told Efe during a conference over the weekend in the Colombian capital.
It is a choice "that puts interest in Venezuela above all else and against the drastic polarization we are going through," Marciano, who traveled to Colombia with a delegation from his country to the annual meeting of the Federation of Green Parties of the Americas, said.
The conference, which ended Sunday, drew representatives from a dozen member countries of this continent-wide organization, which on Saturday welcomed the Colombian Green Party as a full member.
