RTTNews) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday issued a decree banning use of his name and image for any type of propaganda purposes without his prior consent.
The presidential decree bans the unauthorized use of Chavez's "name, image and figure in infrastructure projects, constructions, educational establishments or public buildings of any kind" without the leader's prior and explicit consent.
It also forbids the use of Chavez's image or name in construction sites, buildings, establishments, enclosures, educational institutions, medical facilities, roads, public spaces and any kind of space occupied by public administrators.
In addition, the order bans "political, social and community organizations" from using Chavez's name to "identify organizations, societies, goods, works, projects, programs, social or political activities, etc."
