1. Jerks
Does anyone know the source of this? I.e. We know the direct link between he u.s.fundamentalists and anti-gay action in Uganda. Is there anything similar going on here? On another note some of you know I spend a lot of time in east africa and as bad as I is everyone in Uganda under 30 is pretty much ok and things will work out If we can just minimize the damage in the meantime. I should be back in panama in a few weeks. Haven't Been in six months. I'll report back, but don't expect other than the slow decline under ahole martinelli and growing tensions. Even the "elites" I know in panama dont like martinelli.

How silly of them.

The Bahamas backs removing protection for gay people in UN resolution

Published On:Wednesday, November 24, 2010

THE Bahamas has voted in favour of removing gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons from a United Nations resolution that would condemn their extra-judicial or arbitrary execution because of their sexual orientation.

Along with Iran, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and 75 other mostly African and Muslim countries, the Bahamas helped see the amendment approved 79 to 70, with 17 countries abstaining from the vote, and another 26 being absent.

The United States and Britain, with most of Europe and South America, voted against removing protection from gays.

Caribbean countries such as Jamaica and St Lucia joined the Bahamas in supporting the amendment, while others, such as Trinidad, Barbados and Antigua, abstained.

What doesn't surprise me is that RW dimbulbs continue to squeal like little piggies over how terrible Cuba is, when Cuba fully recognizes gay civil union (marriage) and includes sex reassignment surgeries in their universal health coverage.

Meanwhile, other Caribbean nations continue to fully discriminate against GLBT communities and individuals.

Where is the pro freedom hew and cry over the anti democratic discrimination by, for example, Jamaica and the Bahamas? The lack of outcry on this issue by the anti Cuba standard bearers is very revealing of their agenda.

6. Inconsistant, and laughable, just like totally white-washing the horrendous record
of atrocities against the Colombian people ongoing without interruption while certain factions point and shriek at the clean leftist leaders.
