Luis Plata
Trade Minister

I was channel surfing late overnight and was passing by Univision when I suddenly saw they were speaking with PIEDAD CORDOBA!

Visiting with Nancy Pelosi and Jim McGovern

You recall she was the Colombian legislator who was the liason with the FARC to get the first two hostages released. That was the first time I ever heard her speaking.

2. Did you see the show? I just watched it as a re-run Tuesday morning, around 3:00 a.m., EST.
http://www.c-span.org/Search/basic.asp?BasicQueryText=Luis%20Plata

That should take you to the page where you get the show after putting his name in the search engine:

Washington Journal Entire Program
Luis Plata, Colombian Minister of Trade, Industry & Tourism
Lawrence Mishel, Economic Policy Institute, President & Daniel Mitchell, Cato Institute, Economic Analyst
Bruce Siegel, George Washington Univ., Health Policy Research Professor | Study
6/9/2008: WASHINGTON, DC: 3 hr. : C-SPAN

(Plata's segment starts around 31 minutes into the program)

Would NEVER buy a car from this little guy. He's slick. He reminds me of Scotty, Puffy McMoonface, the little press secretary who just wrote What Happened, about the Bush administration.

He did do one decent thing, however, when an a-hole called in and tried to pump him for anti-Chavez remarks. He very clearly told the dip#### he wasn't even going to discuss any neighbor, he was their to discuss Colombia. He did it in such a way it left no opening for any right-wing a-hole to try to read anything into any facial expressions, or gestures, he closed that subject down immediately.

That did earn my respect.

He works for one sleazy President. He supports a filthy feudal system. He can't be all that decent, although he did not allow the American idiot to try to use him for some dirty, filthy right-wing propaganda. That's truly better than I expected from him.
