Majority of Peruvians do not want Fujimori pardoned
Edited on Mon Jun-20-11 08:51 AM by Derechos

Only 28% approve of a possible pardon

36% want him transferred to a regular prison

29% said he should stay in the police station/barracks where he has been held since 2008

51% rule out the idea that the current government pardon him during its remaining days

On the other hand - 62% approve of how Keiko accepted the loss of the election

62% believe that she should continue in politics but the majority think she should seek out new advisors who never worked in the government of her father.

1. Thanks for the information. Hope it will Garcia will respect the will of the people, finally,
and refrain from pardoning his cohort in mass murder.

2. Aw, phooey. Meant to say "hope it will move Garcia to respect the will of the people, finally."
Sometimes the fingers are faster than the sluggish brain.
