Maldonado added that Globovisión "has sought to promote anxiety in the public but particularly in the population deprived of liberty, in this specific group of people comprising over 40,000 men and women across the country."
The Venezuelan official said that penalties range from as much as 10 percent of Globovisión's gross earnings in the previous fiscal year to the suspension of the transmission for up to 72 hours.
