President Obama met with Humala at the White House. Humala was originally scheduled to meet with just Clinton.

Humala said he intends to honor the FTA and that it would be good to promote Peru's industry. they discussed the war on drugs and inclusive economic growth.

Humala said he once he assumes power he wants to resolve problems and differences with the US in a pragmatic manner, leaving aside ideology.

I am sure there are articles in English but Latin American sources tend to be quicker and more thorough on Latin American news events. or if you prefer to believe the MSM is conspiring to keep you ignorant than you can take that position.

Humala abordó el tema de "la integración regional, la lucha contra el narcotráfico y la necesidad de un crecimiento económico con inclusión".

Preguntado por los periodistas acerca del Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) con EE.UU., Humala reiteró su compromiso de respetar los acuerdos firmados por el Gobierno saliente de Alan García y expresó "su deseo de aprovechar (el acuerdo) para impulsar la industria peruana".

Asimismo, mostró el compromiso de su Gobierno, una vez que tome posesión, de resolver los problemas y diferencias entre Estados Unidos y Perú de "manera pragmática, dejando de lado la ideología".
