Edit: I think is that it's pretty loose in Cuba compared to what many believe, it's
not under lockdown as those in Miami would have you believe and they are pretty fair
about most current expression .... However they make the mistake of trying to slow
or block some excesses, as as usual that just makes them more popular!

HAVANA, Cuba (SJ) Lawmakers gathering at the ongoing parliament´s ordinary session criticized the spread of some video clips with pornographic- like style that denigrate the role of women in society.

The deputies said that in a large number of video clips it is difficult to draw a line between what´s erotic, sensual or pornographic, reads a report by Granma daily which deals with the meeting of the parliamentary commission on the Youth, Children and Women´s equality of Rights.

Some audiovisuals depicting salsa or reggaeton bands frequently aired on TV include women wearing extremely small swimming suits, whose movement goes beyond what is understood as sensuality in dance.

The lawmakers said the objective of their criticism is not to stigmatize any music style, singer or music band, but to reflect on this use that goes beyond the cultural industry. The called for awareness about the role of the media in socializing values and reproducing ideology.

The parliamentarians stressed the need to better use the mass media in order to underscore SNIP

1. Nice find, good video, underscores, imo, the consumerization that modern Cubans want.

The video is actually quite racy toward the end (simulated oral sex, uncovered breasts, self-touching), I doubt the FCC would allow it here. It might even be a bit too much for cable. I think it is bordering on parody, though, I mean, as sort of an indictment on modern Cuban pro-consumerization culture, because even the lyrics are beyond what I would consider the norm. It's definitely an interesting video.
