Venezuelan government makes another deal with Iran for housing
Venezuela's Minister of Housing and Habitat Ricardo Molina reported on Wednesday that his government executed an agreement with Iran for the building of houses in three Venezuelan states. This is the second bilateral agreement in the field of housing.

Today (Wednesday), we will sign an agreement to build 10,008 dwellings," Molina told state-run TV channel VTV, state-owned news agency AVN quoted.

The dwellings will be located in the states of Lara, Yaracuy and Carabobo.

The minister explained that supplementary facilities, as required, will be also built, including schools and health care sites.

Wow, I didn't know Iran was an expert in efficient housing construction.

1. Why...
...would you need a shithole half way around the world to build houses? It is not as if throwing up a building is rocket science.

2. It's an easy way to get around sanctions.
Pretend that you're paying Iran for "housing" while they continue to do other nefarious stuff. There were rumors awhile back that Iran was going to set up a missile base in Venezuela. I don't know if they were ever proven. But if they were the US wouldn't be very pleased.
