Colombia's ex-President Alvaro Uribe on Sunday visited his former chief of staff who is incarcerated while on trial for his alleged role in the illegal wiretapping of government opponents.

The former president visited his former right hand Bernardo Moreno at the National Police's Study Center where the disgraced official is held.

News website Terra reported that Uribe's spokesman had described the hour-and-a-half meeting as a "friendly visit."

1. I wonder what Alvarito had to say to his crime lieutenant for an hour and a half?
These rightwingers--Uribe, Murdoch, Bush--just can't get enough of other peoples' telephone conversations. (re Bush, remember TIA?)

Seems like we should get to tap them back.
