Venezuela denounces hegemonic powers' promotion of conflict in Syria

Caracas, 22 Ago. AVN .- The representative of Venezuela to the United Nations, German Mundarain, denounced on Monday that hegemonic powers are responsible for the conflict in Syria.

During a special session of the UN Human Rights Council summoned by the European Union to debate over the situation in Syria, Mundarain expressed the concern of the Bolivarian Government for the violation of human rights from imperial forces and their interference to any attempt to restore peace.

“We believe Syrian people is capable of reaching its own peace,” the Venezuelan diplomat added.

The Government of Syria has denounced in several opportunities that there are terrorist groups operating within the country which are financed from abroad.
